Meet Mady!
My name is Madyson Benschneider and thank you for viewing my portfolio. Fashion has been my passion and life’s blood for as long as I can remember. I adore watching runway shows, analyzing trends, sketching, styling my friends, and of course shopping.
Fashion makes me feel connected to others because it gives me a chance to share what I love. My love for fashion and the people in my life is the driving force of my identity as a designer. I learned to live my life with love from my dad, Scott Alan Benschneider. He passed away in 2021, but has continued to be my inspiration. He taught me the value of choosing a career that I loved. He constantly believed in me and the work I did. His legacy left a mark on everyone he met and I want my designs to do the same for others.
In the future, I will have my designs go down the runway at New York Fashion Week and be a major fashion house. I am a junior at Savannah College of Art and Design where I am majoring in Fashion Design and minoring in Fashion Marketing and Management.
Why Scott Alan?
In 2021, my dad passed away due to complications from Covid-19. It is his love and passion that inspires me to be a designer. When I was first born, my dad had a high paying job in computer science that would provide my family financial stability. After a few years of marriage my dad moved his profession to teaching students computer science, which was his ultimate dream. Scott Alan Benschneider had a passion for helping students and poured his heart into the profession. It is his story that inspired me to follow my dreams for a fulfilling life and career. My dad’s love is the center of who I am and therefore is the center of my brand. I design to make others feel embraced in the love my dad taught me.
